Red LED light therapy delivers wavelengths of natural light (with ZERO UV) to your skin and cells. It’s also known as photobiomodulation (PBM) and not only is it safe, it offers a range of health benefits that can include wound healing, pain relief and skin rejuvenation.
The technology for red LED light therapy was first developed by NASA during experiments to help promote faster wound healing (you can read more directly on the NASA website here), however it has since been found to be beneficial for a whole range of skin rejuvenation treatments, as demonstrated through many dozens of clinical studies.

The benefits of red LED light therapy are not new and in fact cultures around the would have understood for millennia the benefits of sunlight for human health. It is only now though that we have figured out how to isolate the 'good' wavelengths of natural light, such as red light, whilst blocking the harmful rays, such as ultra violet (UV) light.

#1 Renewal of Collagen and Elastin Fibres
Red light at the 635 nanometres wave length reaches the deepest layer of the skin, the dermis layer, and this is the place where the production of the collagen protein takes place. Through red LED light therapy, the production of the collagen protein is activated. As such, more collagen and elastin protein is made, which in turn helps to give your skin a boost in its structural support. The result from this is firmer and more vibrant looking skin.

#4 Oxygenation and detoxification of the skin
Red light at 635 nanometres increases the transfer of energy between your skin’s light absorbing molecules. These activated molecules cause your skin to react by increasing the oxygenation and detoxification of your skin.

#5 Improvement of the skin’s moisture retention, suppleness and firmness
Due to an increase in collagen and elastin fibres stimulated by red LED light therapy, your skin becomes more firm and your skin’s moisture retention will increase.

#6 Increases the skin's natural skin renewal process
Red LED light helps to decrease age spots, sunspots and other discoloration of the skin by triggering the body’s natural skin renewal process. As collagen production is activated, skin cell renewal is enabled which helps to cause discoloration to disappear.

#7 Stimulates blood circulation
Red LED light increases oxygenation and detoxification in our skin, mainly due to the energy that is transferred via our skin cells. Studies prove that this also leads to a better blood circulation. #8 Reduction in pore size
